Utah Code § 75-7-107

2025 Estate Planning Codification: Utah Code § 75B-2-107.
Governs: Determines the governing law applicable to a trust. It provides that the validity, construction, and administration of a trust are governed by the law designated in the trust instrument if the statutory requirements are met. If no governing-law provision exists, Utah law governs a trust administered in Utah. The statute also defines when a trust is considered to be administered in Utah and addresses the effect of a foreign trust moving its administration to Utah.
